...it's friday afternoon and the snow is falling. we are supposed to get close to 10 inches tonight and I can't help but feel all excited about the whole thing. another first in our house, the big flakes are falling outside our big picture windows, creating such a scene to distract me from any kind of productivity this afternoon. so, I decided to pick the kids up a little early and get a taste of it. literally speaking, if you're Mila. Mila loved stomping around in her new pair of boots and looked cute as ever in her pink toggle coat and furry hood. I thought she'd be leery about the whole experience, but she wasted no time trudging through the snow, obviously finding some halfway up her leg. Cruz requested the whole getup - snowpants, mittens...winter gear from head to toe. It was a good thing, too, because I think we were outside for a total of two minutes before he was doing a snow angel. He wanted a snowman, snowballs, and hot cocoa afterwards. He's got this winter thing all figured out, and it's right up his mom's alley.
