Our Disney Vacation | Day 4

We woke up early Wednesday ready to spend our last day at the theme parks.  We had planned to spend two days at Magic Kingdom, but after spending a day at each park, decided to use our three-day pass at our first stop, California Adventure.  The rides were bigger for my little thrill-seekers, we could once again take advantage of the early hours, and start our day exploring Radiator Springs, an area of the park we had kind of missed our first day due to the main attraction being down for maintenance.  By this time, we had become well acclimated to our Disney routine.  We woke up early, had breakfast in our room (Beau found a grocery store our first day there and stocked up on lots of fruit, muffins, and cereal), and made our way down to the gate shortly before opening.  I was going to miss our long descent down the hotel hallways, our first steps on the Disney park premises, and the anticipation of another fun-filled day with the kids.  We were having the time of our lives together.

It was fun to go back to the same park a second time because we knew exactly what to do first.  And with that, we headed straight for Radiator Springs.  And I tell you, out of both Disney parks, this replica version of the movie town was possibly the most impressive piece of Disney we have experienced.  Everything was straight out of the movie - Flo's Cafe, the Cozy Cone Hotel, and the red rock canyon in the distance as a backdrop to it all.  We loved Tow Mater's tractor pull ride and Luigi's drifter car racers, but the Radiator Springs Racers ranked up with our favorite ride of the trip.  It was part convertible ride, part roller coaster, and took us through the movie with huge life-like simulators around every corner.  We rode the whole thing with our arms in the air and loved feeling part of the movie.

Other highlights of our day at California Adventure included the ride Soarin', my turn on Guardians of the Galaxy with Cruz (SO COOL), and meeting Elena of Avalor, Mila (and Cruz's) favorite princess to watch right now.  By this time, the kids had gotten very good at grilling the princesses with questions, but Elena didn't miss a beat.  She was beautiful and smart and the kids had stars in their eyes as they waved goodbye, autograph books in hand.

The view from Paradise Pier was one of my favorites.

But this view was even better!  This was thee only ride the kids could do together on their own the entire time.  I love that Mila is sitting extra close to her big brother.

Oh you know, Thor just trying to order a hot dog.

Waiting on Elena...

Beau's company set quite the stage for our grand finale at Disneyland.  They invited us back to the big reception hall for quite the party.  There were tables of food and amazing desserts, a Disney-inspired DJ playing all the beats, two Disney face painters, and two amazing balloonists who didn't bat an eye when Mila requested Tinkerbell and Cruz requested Spiderman!

Farm Bureau also provided three private rooms with some signature Disney characters to meet and greet during the reception.  This part alone was pretty unreal!

Next generation Farm Bureau agents right there!

Our first four days of our trip were coming to an end and boy were we having fun.  We had conquered some big rides, filled autograph books with all our favorite characters, and loved every second of just getting to be away, together, the four of us.  It was hands-down one of my favorite trips together, and the best news was, we were just getting started!
