"a portrait of each of my children, once each week, in 2017."

Cruz: Walking around Purdue's pretty campus Saturday, you discovered this fountain and immediately declared it the fountain of youth!  I'm not sure what cartoon introduced you to this idea, but you knew all about its proclaimed powers.  There was no talking you out of cupping your hands together and getting a taste of its water.  On a weekend that was in large part devoted to your sister, you were an excellent wing man and even helped Mila practice her flower girl duties in the hallway of our hotel.

Mila: After laying down on the ground in defiance when it was your turn to walk down the aisle on the night of the rehearsal, your dad and I were unsure of what to expect for Bri's wedding day.  But the minute you put your pretty dress on, you stepped into your title as flower girl with utmost confidence.  You loved your Elsa braid, loved the way your shoes clicked on the sidewalk, and especially loved the backpack Bri gifted you, filled with tiny trinkets that awaited you as soon as you made your way down that aisle.  We were so proud of you!
