Knowing I would be on balloon garland duty for IF:Gathering just a few weeks later, I decided to use our home as my practice round. I had never made one before and soon discovered it wouldn't be my last. Thanks to Beau's air compressor, the magical plastic balloon garland ribbon, and several glue dots, our dining room was transformed to a pastel explosion of whimsy and cute.
And I loved these unicorn balloons, too.
I had a little miscommunication with Hy-Vee and ended up with the world's largest unicorn cake, which made for lots of laughs when cutting and serving our extended family. Let's just say everyone got their fill of birthday cake! It sure was pretty, though!
We celebrated early afternoon on a Sunday, served tacos, all the fixings, and queso, frosted unicorn horns, played a few other fun games, and watched Mila act all silly opening up her presents. What a goofball - I don't think she knew what to do with all the attention. She sure is happiest when she's surrounded by her five little cousins, though. Especially when they all find the nerf guns and gang up on Papa Curt.
Lots of pictures of the unicorn princess! Can't believe she's five.
