"a portrait of each of my children, once each week, in 2016"

Cruz:  Being part of your first two days of Kindergarten has been such a joy.  Making you breakfast and getting a little special time with you after Mila goes to school, waiting for you outside Mrs. Ferguson's door at the end of the day, seeing that big smile when she tells you your mom is here, and hearing all your wonderful stories on the way to the car has been even better than I thought it would be.  And today, we crossed another big thing off the kindergarten list - the BUS!  You waited at the bus stop with Claire and Jaycie and all three of you sat in a seat together - and you waved at us until we couldn't see you anymore!  You are so big and so brave, and we are SO proud of you!

Mila: You are quite the accessory queen lately.  And the number of dollies that are joining you at bedtime is growing, too.  And while it's sometimes frustrating to be looking for your precious giraffe baby or little blankie when we are late to be somewhere, there is something I just love about your attachment to these things.  That, and these glitter rimmed classes that make you look so studious. :)
