Thanksgiving Memories, Part 3
|| Our last two days of Thanksgiving break were exactly what I had hoped for the past Tuesday when I was up to my ears in the mess of decorating and prepping for Thanksgiving. We had a clean slate and just kind of went where the wind took us all day Saturday and Sunday. But we also had lots of time to stay in our pjs and drink hot cocoa and be silly and stuff.
|| We spent a nice Saturday afternoon on Main Street once again, this time going in to see Santa Claus. In all eight years of having kids, we had never actually stepped foot in this Santa's workshop. After checking that off the list, we visited the new Lark Brewing downtown for mid-afternoon brews while the kids did their best coloring job on the contest pictures they were given by Santa.
|| Afterwards, we took advantage of the warmer Saturday temperatures and went on one last Hartman hike of the year. It was eerily quiet and cozy and made me wish I had thrown in a big blanket and a thermos of hot cocoa.
|| And then there was Saturday night. With our house all dressed up for Christmas, we ordered a big cheese pizza and watched one of our favorites, Home Alone, snuggled up together on the couch. I sure love how these pictures change over the years. Same house, same kids, same silly, just longer legs and louder. ;)
Games of Guess Who (that Mila always dominates) and Hot Potato, Christmas jammies and piggy back rides, hot cocoa and so many Kevin impersonations...welcome, Christmas!
