A Trip to the Zoo

We took a day trip to Blank Park Zoo in Des Moines last week.  It's a small zoo, the perfect size to explore in a few hours with a toddler.  We packed a picnic lunch, fed the giraffes, goats, ducks, and fish, and laughed at the monkeys and sea lions.  It was a great way to spend one of our last days of summer and we'll most definitely visit again in the future.
