Nineteen Weeks

We made it through last week's heat wave and I think I speak for most when I say that today's Labor Day weather was pretty much as good as it gets.  I took a few deep breaths outside today and let the crisp air soak in a bit.  It was beautiful today and a perfect reminder of the next season to come.

19 is in the books and we head into an important week around here.  Wednesday morning we should find out whether this little sprout is a baby boy or girl.  We've made it to the halfway mark and I am so excited to have the rest of my pregnancy to celebrate and prepare for a little brother or sister to join our family.  We've got names to brainstorm, rooms to paint, sweet baby clothes to wash, and closets to clean!  And I think it's all even more exciting because it just so happens to fall during such a beautiful time of year.

We had fun with some balloons tonight.  Cruz was a little busy chucking rocks across the street, but I'm hoping he's more participatory later on this week!  Tonight, during a spaghetti supper, we were talking about the baby and Cruz assured us he would be a "nice boy" and that he won't "drop the baby" when it comes.  I have a feeling he's going to be a lot of help, one way or another!
