Welcome...

...to my corner of the internet!  I'm excited to be involved in my 2nd annual Ultimate Blog Party event sponsored by 5 Minutes for Mom.  I participated last year and loved the chance to connect with other creative moms out there and still read many of the blogs I discovered through the party today.  

I started blogging on a whim as a way to keep memories of my family in one place.  Then, after becoming pregnant and giving birth to my son, Cruz, this blog became my attempt to play Holden Caulfield and stick all of these amazing feelings and moments I was experiencing in glass cases (or behind glass screens, so to speak) and lock them away forever.  I wanted to freeze time because if I've learned one thing in my 28 years on this earth, it sure goes by fast.  

Now, I blog for a mixture of reasons.  I blog to create, to inspire and be inspired, and to challenge myself to not just plug away through this life, but think and grow and learn.  I've learned a lot about myself through this blog, and likewise, have learned a lot from many of you.  

I've always enjoyed writing, but have discovered I love telling stories through pictures, too.  While my Canon Rebel is one of my closest companions, the two boys often captured on the other side of the lens make up my world.  My husband, Beau, is one of the funniest, most giving, and loving men I know, and my son, Cruz is a busy, strong-willed sweetheart with a love for pirates, rocket ships, and red trucks.  I take so much pride in the home I help to create around here, and strive for a sanctuary that is God-centered, supportive, and chock full of traditions, adventures, and laughter.
