14 Days of DIY Love - Easy Mason Jar Candles

Every year around this time, I walk through our local craft store and eye the same pack of white paper heart doilies like these.  And every year, I pass on buying a pack because I'm not sure what to do with them.  This year, however, with a 50% discount and pack of 24 for $2, I couldn't pass them up.  Since then, I've had fun discovering ways to add them around the house and give some existing belongings a new flair for Valentine's Day.

One of my favorites took less than five minutes and adds so much to a simple candle.  With some double-stick tape, I wrapped two hearts around a mason jar.  I stuck a votive candle in the jar, and tied some red and white baker's twine around the outside.  That's it!  Simple and super easy, and you wouldn't believe how neat it looks lit.
